Lytton Reese, BSN, RN, CWOCN, MPH

Lytton is a Certified Wound, Ostomy, and Continence nurse at Northside Hospital in Atlanta, Georgia. Her CWOCN certification was received from Emory University, and MPH from University of South Florida. Lytton has worked as a WOCN in both the acute care and outpatient settings. During her time as a CWOCN she has communicated and worked with surgical groups, product manufacturers, and patient advocate groups to make impacts in the HS community. Sara Holtman, RN, BSN, MHA, CWCA is a native to New Braunfels. She began her career as an LVN and has most recently completed her Masters in Healthcare Administration. She is the Director of Clinical Education for WoundCentrics and manages the company’s education and training programs through Wound Care University. Sara was a founding member of WoundCentrics and grew clinical operations with the Long-Term Care Hospital clients. Marcus Gitterle, MD, CWS

Dr. Gitterle is an experienced physician leader, having served in management roles as a hospital-based physician for more than three decades. He is an active clinician and presently serves as Regional Medical Director for one of the largest, fully-integrated, regional, inter-facility wound care and hyperbaric specialty practices in the Southwestern United States, with four outpatient / inpatient wound care sites, and numerous LTAC, IRF, and SNF facilities receiving discharges from these STACH facilities. He serves as Woundcare Medical Director for four Texas LTAC facilities. and several Inpatient Rehabilitation Facilities.

As CMO of Woundcentrics, LLC, Dr. Gitterle created a scalable management framework for the optimization of LTAC wound care, as well as a training program, and quality assurance systems to support it.

He is a faculty member of Woundcare University, and has trained physicians on six continents in HBOT. He has trained numerous physicians and mid-level providers in the practice of evidence-based wound care.

He has been a Principal Investigator for the US Army Institute for Surgical Research, and has published in the area of Biofilm, and Wound Healing, and non-invasive vascular imaging. He has consulted for 3M, KCI, and CMS. He lives in Central Texas with his wife Heather, and two sons.

Lynette E Franklin is a clinical nurse specialist focused on wound ostomy and continence care. She has had the privilege to nurse and teach in 5 countries. Joy Hooper is certified wound, ostomy, continence nurse from South Georgia. She has been certified in wound, ostomy, & continence care for over 21 years and has practiced in a variety of healthcare settings. Tina Canada earned her BSN from Southern Illinois University-Edwardsville in 1983. Tina has experience in a variety of nursing areas including pediatrics and pediatric intensive care, adult medical-surgical acute care, neurology, surgery, infusion clinic, education and staff development, diabetes care, community health and wound care. Tina became Wound Care Certified in 2014 when she found herself providing wound care in an outpatient setting, initially designated as an infusion center. Tina began working at OSF HealthCare Holy Family Medical Center in November 2015 in both Acute Care and Diabetes Education. In 2017 Tina became a Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist. She served as Coordinator of Diabetes Education at OSF Holy Family as well as Program Quality Coordinator for the ADA (American Diabetes Association) Recognized Program at both OSF Holy Family Medical Center and OSF Medical Group Endocrinology in Galesburg until February 2023, when she transitioned fully to the Wound Care Center. Tina began splitting her time between Diabetes Care and Wound Care Center in July 2022, when OSF HealthCare opened an outpatient Wound Care Center in their rural critical access hospital.
Tina is active in her local church, serving as Operation Christmas Child project leader as well as chairperson of the education committee and a member of the weekly sewing group. She doesn’t sew but cuts fabric and designs and draws pictures for comfort quilt blocks. Tina also volunteers regularly at Loving Bottoms Diaper Bank, Midwest Mission Distribution Center and Jamieson Community Center Marketplace food pantry and thrift store. She enjoys cooking, trying new recipes, reading, especially mystery and suspense novels, and playing games with friends and family.

Dr. Rose Pignataro is Doctor of Physical Therapy with a PhD in public health. Her clinical practice, research, and academic endeavors are heavily focused on prevention and management of health disparities among people with disabilities through effective, individualized approaches to patient empowerment. Dr. Pignataro is the Assistant Director of the Physical Therapy Program at Emory & Henry College in Marion, Virginia. She is a certified wound management specialist (CWS) and certified health education specialist (CHES) with over 30 years of experience working with people with chronic wounds.

Kristin Bojrab, PT, DPT, WCC, CFCS, CFNIP, DWC, FACCWS

Kristin graduated in 2013 with her doctorate in physical therapy from the University of Indianapolis. She currently practices in an outpatient PT driven wound clinic without physician oversight, while also working in a diabetic foot clinic with an infectious disease physician and amputee clinic. She teaches all of the wound care content at 4 different DPT programs in Indiana and holds several wound care certifications including; wound care certified, certified foot care specialist, a nutrition certification, and diabetic wound certification. She is also a fellow of the American College of Clinical Wound Specialists.

Sana Keller has over 40 years of varied nursing experience including acute care, nursing management, nursing & medical education, home health, and wound, ostomy & continence care. She developed a full scope wound, ostomy and continence program in a mid-size Level II Trauma Center including home health and skilled nursing consultation. She is currently Supervisor of Wound Care & Hyperbaric Services at HonorHealth's John C Lincoln Medical Center, a Level I Trauma Center.

Michael N. Desvigne, MD, CWS, FACS, FACCWS

Dr. Michael N. Desvigne is a true plastic and reconstructive surgeon who has chosen to dedicate his expertise to reconstructive surgery, specifically wound reconstruction. Dr. Desvigne believes performing reconstructive surgery has made him a better wound healing clinician and managing complex wounds has made him a better reconstructive surgeon. Dr. Desvigne brings a wealth of experience from a variety of disciplines. He is board certified in plastic surgery, general surgery, wound care and hyperbaric medicine. With this quadruple certification he approaches each wound problem with a staircase approach including surgical and nonsurgical solutions.

Emily Greenstein is a Certified Adult-Geriatric Nurse Practitioner and Certified Wound and Ostomy Nurse. She obtained her BSN for Jamestown University and MSN for Maryville University. She currently is employed by Essentia Health in Fargo, ND. She is the President for the North Central Region Wound, Ostomy, Continence Nursing Society. Emily is also on the Board of Directors for the American College of Clinical Wound Specialists.

Alicia Jenkins BS, RN, CWCN

Certified by the WOCNCB as a CWCN in 1999, Alicia has over 25 years of wound and ostomy experience in multiple healthcare settings including hospitals, wound centers, SNFs, rehab centers, home health, and hospice. Naida Rutherford NP, Coroner

Naida Rutherford, is the Coroner for Richland County, South Carolina. She is a nationally board certified nurse practitioner through the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC). After working in healthcare for over 15 years with an expertise in wounds and adult geriatric acute care, she decided to use her skills to serve the citizens of Richland County. Her electoral win as Coroner in 2020 made her the first woman, first medical professional and first person of color to hold the title of Coroner in the 173 year history of the office.
She has been recognized locally and nationally for her innovation and achievements by USA TODAY, Essence, Pepsi, University of South Carolina and the NAACP.

Nora Barrett OTR/L, CHT, WCC

Nora Barrett graduated from the Program in Occupational Therapy at Washington University in St. Louis in 1997. She has been a practicing occupational therapist (OT) since 1998 and a certified hand therapist (CHT) since 2006. She has worked at rehabilitation centers, acute care hospitals, burn units and outpatient therapy practices in Boston, MA, Washington, DC, Baltimore, MD and Bend, OR. Nora joined the Hand Therapy Team at the University of Virginia Physicians Group in 2021 where she works in the Hand Center and in an outpatient hand therapy practice. She received her Wound Care Certification in 2020 and is an active member of the American Society of Hand Therapists (ASHT) and the American Association for Hand Surgery (AAHS). Nora authored the Tissue Healing and Wound Care Chapter in the 4th edition of Cooper’s Fundamentals of Hand Therapy textbook and the Wounds Chapter in ASHT’s Clinical Assessment & Recommendations, and co-authored the Wound Classification and Management Chapter in the 7th edition of Rehabilitation of the Hand and Upper Extremity textbook and the Physiology of Wound Healing & Burns Chapter in the 4th Edition of ASHT’s Test Prep for the CHT exam.

Dr. Mary Arnold Long, DNP, APRN, CRRN, CWOCN-AP, ACNS-BC, WOCNF

Dr. Mary Arnold Long received her BSN from the College of Mount St. Joseph, her MSN from the University of Cincinnati, her ET Certificate from Abbott Northwestern Hospital and her DNP from Otterbein University. Dr. Arnold Long has over 35 years of nursing experience and over 25 years as an expert board-certified wound, ostomy, and continence nurse practicing in multiple settings. Tracy Lynn Rodgers RN, BSN, WCC, LNCC, has been a registered nurse for the last 35 years; including working in intensive care, home health, hospice, and skilled and long-term care settings. She owned and operated a successful outpatient wound center treating everything from lower extremity ulcers, burns, diabetic wounds, and pressure injuries. She has a love for teaching, and educating other wound enthusiasts in their journey to board certifications, and expert work. Tracy currently travels the country, teaching for Relias, and the Wound Care Education Institute, as well as sits as an expert witness in long-term care, skilled nursing, home health, and medical/surgical cases; with an emphasis on wound care standards and geriatric care.

Juvy Montecalvo-Acosta DNP, RN, APN-BC, CWCN

Juvy Montecalvo-Acosta is the Director of Patient Care at Riverview Medical Center Hackensack Meridian Health - managing multiple departments - Magnet Program, Professional Development, and Wound Care Program. Juvy is a certified adult nurse practitioner, and she worked as a wound care nurse practitioner since 2012 before taking on her current leadership role. Juvy has been an adjunct faculty member at Stockton University's Accelerated Nursing Program for five years. Juvy is an alumnus of Rutgers University's Doctor of Nursing Program.

Juvy is one of Hackensack Meridian Health's (HMH) excellent and impactful nurse leaders who have made exceptional, transformational, and sustained contributions to its organizational goals through her extensive range of leadership roles at Riverview Medical Center. Elisa Winn, MS, RN, RN-BC, CWON

Elisa Winn, a Virginia native, earned her bachelor’s degree in psychology from VCU in 2001 and her master’s degree in nursing administration and leadership from VCU in 2011. She is a Certified Wound and Ostomy Nurse and a Certified Ambulatory Care Nurse, and she currently serves as the manager of the Wound Care Team and Pressure Injury Prevention Program at VCU Health. Elisa has 20 years of nursing experience in both inpatient and ambulatory settings. Her professional objective is to support the interprofessional team in implementing organizational initiatives to reduce hospital-acquired pressure injuries. She is passionate about educating interdisciplinary team members on the importance of skin preservation, wound care, and ostomy management. She lectures frequently in the VCU Health environment.

Elisa co-authored an article on medical device-related pressure injuries published in the Journal of Wound, Ostomy, and Continence Nursing and is currently involved with a research study investigating the pulmonary benefits of verticalization therapy.
